Security & Data FAQ
Last updated: October 6, 2026
OpusDocs is provided by Geminid Systems. These answers cover the OpusDocs website, PDF editor, and OpusDocs for Microsoft Word. Processing and storage depend on the features you use and your organization's configuration. Read the Privacy Policy for the full notice.
Where are my templates and generated documents stored?
OpusDocs stores templates and generated documents only in your organization's own cloud storage, under its access, retention, and deletion settings. Some editing and preview operations run in your browser, while document generation uses cloud processing. In the Word add-in, Preview and Publish upload the document to your organization's storage and save version metadata in Salesforce. AI features also send relevant content to the configured AI service. See the Privacy Policy for details by feature.
Does closing the browser or signing out delete my files?
No. Signing out clears the Word add-in's local session. Templates and generated documents remain in your organization's own cloud storage under its retention and deletion settings. Salesforce records and feedback can remain in their respective systems. AI findings saved in Word document settings or comments remain with the document. An expired download link does not necessarily mean its file has been deleted.
What information do AI features process?
Enabled features can process typed queries, selected or page text, document-review sections, prompts, and Salesforce field catalogs. Field catalogs and search indexes may be retained for future matching. AI requests also include Salesforce access information needed by the configured service. Opening the field matcher or pausing while typing can trigger requests. Ask your administrator about the providers, processing locations, and retention settings configured for your organization.
Who can access documents and data?
Access depends on your organization's permissions, the services used to process and store the content, and the recipients with whom you share it. OpusDocs uses service providers to deliver cloud generation, AI, and other enabled features. Your organization controls access to its Salesforce records and its own cloud storage, where templates and generated documents are stored.
Does OpusDocs store my Salesforce password?
You enter your Salesforce password on Salesforce. The Word add-in stores authorization tokens and configuration, including temporary storage credentials, in its browser storage to maintain your session. Sign out on shared devices and ask your administrator to revoke connected-app access if needed.
Does the website use cookies or analytics?
The marketing website uses Google Analytics 4 and Cloudflare Web Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies, and both services receive information about website activity. We also use the LinkedIn Insight Tag, which uses cookies and related identifiers to measure advertising performance and sends website visit information to LinkedIn. The website and Word add-in also use browser storage for preferences and session-related features. You can manage cookies and storage in your browser; blocking cookies does not block every analytics request. See Section 5 of the Privacy Policy.
How can I request access to or deletion of my information?
For information held by OpusDocs, email support@opusdocs.com. For documents and records controlled by your organization, contact its administrator. Include the product and account involved, but do not send passwords or authorization tokens. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting on a request.
Where is information processed, and how long is it retained?
OpusDocs uses infrastructure in the United States, and processing locations can also depend on your organization and configured providers, including cross-region AI processing. Your organization controls the storage locations and retention settings for its templates and generated documents in its own cloud storage. Retention of other information depends on the type of information, service settings, purpose, and applicable agreements and legal requirements. Contact us for details about your deployment.
