Introducing OpusDocs: Contract Generation Built for Business Teams
Today we're launching OpusDocs.
We built it because we spent years watching businesses — large and small — trapped inside contract generation tools that were supposed to make things easier but had become the opposite: expensive to license, expensive to maintain, and impossible for anyone outside of IT to touch.
The problem with how contract generation works today
If your team uses a legacy document generation tool, this will sound familiar.
Your agreement templates aren't really templates. They're a collection of fragmented .docx files — sometimes dozens of them — assembled together at generation time through complex CRM configuration that only your Salesforce admin understands. When a clause needs to change because a state regulation updated, or a product term shifts, someone files a ticket. That ticket goes to IT. IT schedules it into a sprint. Three weeks later the change is live.
Meanwhile, the wrong clause has been in hundreds of generated contracts.
The CRM configuration that controls which sections appear, which language is used, which regional terms apply — all of it sits inside a system that business users can't navigate. Over time it accumulates. Workarounds get built on top of workarounds. The technical debt compounds until the thought of migrating away feels genuinely impossible.
And on top of all that, generation is slow. Documents that should take seconds take 30 or more, because the system is assembling fragmented files through infrastructure never designed for this.
What we built instead
OpusDocs is a contract generation platform built around a different assumption: the people who understand your contracts should be the people who manage them.
One Word file, not fifty. Your entire agreement — conditional sections, regional clauses, multi-language variants, dynamic merge fields, eSign placements — lives in a single Word document. Template authors can open it, read it, and understand it. When something needs to change, they change it. No ticket. No sprint. No consultant.
Conditional logic that business users control. Sections that appear or hide based on state, region, deal type, customer tier, or any field in your CRM — all configured directly in the Word plugin, driven by your live CRM data. The complexity is there. It's just manageable.
Multi-language from a single template. The same agreement generates in the correct language automatically, based on CRM data. No parallel template maintenance, no manual intervention.
Generation that's actually fast. We built OpusDocs on modern microservice infrastructure designed for high-throughput document generation. Agreements that take 30 seconds or more in legacy tools generate in under 2.5 seconds in OpusDocs.
Migration is part of what we do
We didn't just build a better tool — we built a path out of the one you're in.
Our migration team has moved enterprise customers off legacy platforms, converting fragmented template libraries and years of accumulated CRM config into clean, maintainable Word templates. We don't just lift and shift. We simplify. Customers come out the other side with templates their business teams can actually own.
Since launching in November 2024, OpusDocs has generated over 3.1 million production documents — including 1.3 million in 2026 alone. That number is a reflection of the teams who were ready to move.
If you're ready to look at alternatives
The biggest thing we hear from teams evaluating OpusDocs is that they didn't realise how much they'd normalised the pain of their current tool. The IT dependency. The slow generation. The templates nobody fully understands.
If that resonates, request a demo and we'll show you what your contracts could look like on the other side.
